The University has a
distinguished philosophy in higher education, which is deeply rooted in the
Islamic and Arabian culture and which keeps up with the most modern policies
embraced by European and American Universities. The University also bases its educational policies and programs upon
directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of
the UAE and his fellow rulers of the Emirates and Members of the Supreme
Council.
The University applies the credit hour system which is made to suit the
requirements and values of our Arabian and Islamic environment
and it relates to foreign universities. This system
also suits the needs of the job market in the UAE in particular and the
Arabian region in general.
The University aims and seeks to inculcate in its students the skill of
self-learning through the use of varied information sources such as the
library, the electronic library and the Internet.
By virtue of this facility, students are able to have direct contact with
their lecturers/professors and gain access to online information, exercises
and answers, etc.
The university makes training a major component of the educational program
since it is keen to foster in its students the skills and competencies
demanded by the job market and development policies.
The university has established links with a number of the prestigious
Arabian, Japanese, European and American universities.
