The library offers its services to all students at the campus. References and books increase every year in an average of 1000 books a year. There is also an electronic library, which has a subscription to more than 4700 electronic scientific journals and 3500 electronic books. Through the university Intranet, students can have access to a vast number of books and electronic journals. Students' access to the library is facilitated through the 100 computers available to them.
The library and information sources (LIS) is one of the essential integral parts of the academic system supporting the university mission of instruction and research.

Purpose 

The main purpose of the Library & Information Sources is to provide access to a wide range of resources in support of IU students and faculty.

Objectives

1. Collecting all types of resources related to the research needs of staff and students.

2. Providing online and offline data, theses and dissertations, audio-visual materials, and any other new technologies related to the Library and Information Sources.  

3. Processing the new materials to be available to students and faculty as quickly as possible.

4. Providing instant services relating to the information demanded from the faculty and students using IT tools.

5. Making available two copies of the primary textbook for each course.

6. In case of the same book is used for more than one program, four 4 copies are made available.  

7. Making available eight different references for each textbook.

8. In case of re-teach the program, The Library coordinates with the faculty, in order to add three new sources (book, Periodical, or audio-visual)   

9. Training students and faculty to be familiar with information retrieval and library systems.

10. Helping students in using the library during their leisure time.

11. Keeping the library up-to-date with latest resources.

12. Keeping the library up-to-date with latest information technology.

13. Providing community services by enabling local access to the library.

14. Keeping open lines of communication with other institutions.
