PROGRAM Goals & OBJECTIVES

Program Goals:

To provide a progressive and rigorous curriculum with activities that ground students holistically in English language and translation.

Goal # 2:

Raise their awareness of  cultural issues and strengthen their interpersonal communication competency.

Program Objectives:

The educational objectives of the EL&T Program are to:

         1. Graduate competent English language users.

         2. Develop students' translation skills both theoretically and practically.

         3. Train students in technology-based skills relating to language study and translation.

         4.Promote students’ appreciation of literature and culture.

         5. Equip students with basic skills necessary for independent work and research.

         6. Provide the community and other programs at the university with English language and   

             translation services.
