INTRODUCTION

The College of Management and Information Systems was first established in the academic year 1999-2000. It is one of the Business and Information Technology (IT) teaching institutions in the United Arab Emirates. The idea of its foundation is in harmony with the mission and philosophy of ITTIHAD University to build an innovative business and information technology environment. The college started with one program which is offering the "Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Information Systems (BIS). So far (223) students have been graduated with a B.Sc. degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems.

Two new programs have recently been granted the Accreditation by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). Thus, the college now offers three programs. These are:

• B. Sc. in Business Information Systems (BSBIS)

• B. Sc. in Business Administration (BSBA)

• B. Sc. in Accounting (BSAcct)

The first intake of the two new programs starts from September 2010.

Established in 1999-2000, the College of Management and Information Systems is located in Ras Al-Khaimah in its modern Campus at the end of the Emirates Road on the entrance of Ras Al-Khaimah.
