Dean at Ittihad University Enters “Marquis Who’s Who” World Directory
 

Professor Taher Badinjki, the Dean of the College of Arts and the Acting Dean of the College of  Education at Ittihad University in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE, has been selected to be included in a biographical directory published by (Marquis Who’s Who) which provides comprehensive, accurate, up-to-date and impartial information on the most prominent  individuals who exemplify the wealth of talent and leadership around the world and whose accomplishments are acknowledged.

Professor Badinjki will be profiled in the (2008) edition of Who’s Who in the World which will be available this month (December). The biography includes Prof. Badinjki’s career highlights, awards, research activities, publications, academic and special contributions to the public interest which were instrumental in making him well known.

 

Professor Taher Badinjki received a letter of congratulation from the Marquis Who’s Who directory on being selected for Who’s Who in the World, 2008 and a Certificate of Recognition as one of the leading achievers from around the globe.

The biographee Taher Badinjki is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in London (F.R.S.A.) and Professor of English Language and Literature.  He has taught English language and literature at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for more than 20 years. He has international work experience (Syria, USA, and UAE). His list of research activities includes over 15 refereed research papers on English literature translation, Arabicization, and a number of books published in Syria, Kuwait, USA, Lebanon, and UAE.

In addition to research and teaching, he has been actively involved in the administrative side of the university life.  He has  chaired and participated in a number of committees and served as the  Director of the BA Program in English Language and Translation at Ittihad University in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE. In addition, he has been the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Aleppo in Syria 1997-2000. At present he is the Dean of the College of Arts and the Acting Dean of the College of Education at Ittihad University in the UAE.

Professor Badinjki expressed his pleasure for this recognition and hoped that it would further encourage him to continue his work and academic research.
